FERRO will attend the 15th European Conference on Ecological Restoration - SERE2026

FERRO will attend the 15th European Conference on Ecological Restoration - SERE2026

The FERRO project will be presented at this year’s edition of SERE - the European Conference on Ecological Restoration, between the 24th and 28th August in Brest, France. Organised by the University of Brest (UBO) Laboratoire Géoarchitecture, the conference will bring experts from policy, academia and practice together for a few days of networking, knowledge exchange and collaboration.

Hosted by UBO and in collaboration with the French Ecological Restoration Network (REVER) and the European Chapter of the Society, the event is expected to gather more than 600 participants from across Europe and beyond. The main objective of this edition is to share knowledge and strengthen links between stakeholders in ecological restoration. The conference welcomes all aspects of ecosystem restoration, with a focus on ecological, political and sociological considerations. Another focus of the event is connecting less integrated topics, such as the restoration of ecological networks and marine ecosystems.

FERRO will be represented at the conference by its partner Pensoft Publishers, co-sharing a booth with another EU-funded project, SpongeBoost. The event will provide a great opportunity to present the project’s results and updates on lake management and restoration to relevant stakeholders and policymakers. As particular attention will be paid to wetlands and coastal ecosystems during SERE 2026, FERRO will also benefit from networking and knowledge exchange with all participating projects and organisations.
